The Galleon II in PDC is lovely...better for breakfast and lunch that it is for dinner but still a great wee place ;)

for a really fabulous food go to the galleon playa costa teguise superb food and superb service from a really friendly staff.fantastic.best wishes all.

Seems a very long time since anyone posted on here...and condsidering we are coming into the spring/summer season i thought it try and light the fire, you know, get everyone excited for their trips...lol, for me, the nicest place i ate in during our stay in PDC in summer 2011 was either La Paloma, or Cantina Don Rafael..both great service, lovely atmosphere, and nice tasting food...can anyone suggest any hidden gems?

Has anybody been to the Arena Restaurant (Calle Janubio, behind CC Biosfera, PdC)?
The new chef is Louis León, who used to work at LagOmar! .

New vegetarian / vegan restaurant in Playa Honda: the Blooming Cactus.
the chef is Tracy, who moved to Lanzarote last year from Glasgow. She's enchanted with the island's natural produce, such as cheese, sweet courgettes, ripe pumpkins and beetroot leaves.

Has anyone else tried La Cantina in the old capital of Teguise? Great food and service, run by Benn & Zoe and offering some different menu options such as sharing boards. Closed Sunday evening and Mondays but open midday to 11pm otherwise. Situated in a typical Canarian building with courtyard on the corner of Leon y Castillo.

Taylors cafe we recommend for a great breakfast, with the big breakfast you get as much toast and tea or coffee as you want. We had breakfast several times and it was really good, also check out the homemade pies they were delicious too with plenty of filling! Taylors is situated near the cross roads in the Old Town.

I feel i must add this comment after returning from PDC on Sunday, we ate in Los Marineros whilst on holiday, we had 2 beers, starter, main course and asked for some hot water to warm the babies bottle. When the bill came we had been charged for 3 beers and 2 euros for the water for the baby. I feel this is totally disgusting, we complained and got the beer and water taken off the bill. We will never eat there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Chef Louis Leon is now at Arena Restaurant Los Mojones PDC. Restaurant,food and wine list superb, but high end and booking advisable.Part of the Vilas Alondra complex
